Frequently Asked Questions
What is the advantage of brushing and rolling over spraying and back-brushing?
While it takes a bit longer to brush and roll, it provides much better adherence to the substrate compared to spraying and back-brushing. The brushing and rolling action "pushes" the stain and paint into the microscopic cracks and gaps that it uses to hold onto the substrate. This technique also allows us to install very thick coats. Why isn't back-brushing as effective? Modern day paints and stains are designed to dry very quickly. The only way to properly work the product into the substrate is to do it when it's very wet and fresh. It is nearly impossible to do this in the time it takes to spray a section of siding and then switch to a roller or brush.

Who performs the pressure washing?
Except in a few specific circumstances, we always pressure wash homes and decks before we begin the staining process. It is so critical to get this right, that the owner of the company himself performs all pressure washing functions within the company.

How do you schedule projects?
We book our customers first come, first serve. We encourage everyone to sign up in autumn, the year before they would like their project performed or in early spring. We never bump anyone in the schedule.
